K9 Community Cafe, Ely, Cambridgeshire
Chris Kent and her K9’s are proud to continue to support the K9 Cafe - a weekly drop in for people and dogs in Ely. Originally set up by Chris as part of the K9 Projects range of supportive activities it has now evolved to the extent it is run by a small group of K9 Volunteers. The K9 Cafe is now a community group and the volunteers are the trustees who direct the future development of the Cafe.
Apart from meeting every Thursday at the Ely Cathedral Conference Centre, Palace Green for a relaxed, safe and informal welcome for you and your (well behaved) dog there is monthly sales of CD’s DVD‘s and Dog related items (donations of second hand dog items are always welcome)
We also celebrate events such as St Georges Day, Easter, Halloween etc with doggy fun and games.
The cafe has a lovely mix of people who come, some young ,some old, some inbetween!! We provide ourselves on making everyone feel welcome; there are dog treats as well as teas coffees and biscuits available and our prices are very reasonable.
Chris has been proud to help Ramsey Neighbourhood Trust set up their very own K9 cafe called The Dogs Meet which is proving much needed and very successful. If you would like some help setting up a K9 Cafe in your area please contact Chris. Keep your eyes posted for her guide coming out soon "how to set up a K9 Community Cafe" - sign up for the newsletter for information.
